Comprehensive, Orthopaedic Care Available in PHC's State-of-the-Art Facility

Maintaining an active lifestyle can be easier than you'd think.  With the Orthopaedic Institute at Putnam Hospital Center, the area's most comprehensive, advanced musculoskeletal care is located in one convenient facility.

Our acclaimed multidisciplinary team, led by some of the region's finest orthopaedic surgeons, brings together the expertise of neurologists, physiatrists, rheumatologists, podiatrists, pain management specialists and physical therapists to provide you with the services you need, right where you need them-close to home.

The Orthopaedic Institute at Putnam Hospital Center offers the latest technologies including minimally-invasive joint replacement surgery, arthroscopic rotator cuff repairs, spinal surgery, hand surgery, comprehensive fracture care and general orthopaedics as well as sports medicine and treatment for chronic lower back pain, foot disorders and non-surgical injuries.

Putnam Hospital Center's state-of-the art facility has computer navigated joint replacement and boasts of the region's only vertical laminar air flow operating rooms.   These cutting edge ultra clean air rooms allow virtually no dust or bacteria into the surgical area during joint replacement, thus significantly reducing the chance for infection.  We are proud to be the only such hospital in the region with laminar flow operating rooms, an investment we made due to the very high volume of orthopaedic joint replacement procedures that are performed here; patients would have to go elsewhere to orthopaedic hospitals in major metropolitan areas such as New York City or Boston to find similar laminar flow operating rooms.

Located on the Putnam Hospital Center campus on Stoneleigh Avenue in Carmel, The Orthopaedic Institute houses an ambulatory surgery center, physical therapy, MRI, CT scans, ultrasound and bone densitometry, as well as a dedicated orthopaedic inpatient unit-allowing seamless care and better communication among specialists.

The services and expertise to maintain an active lifestyle are easy to access.  Whether you use our outpatient or inpatient facilities, our goal is to relive pain and increase mobility, strength and independence.
