Rhinebeck, NY… Northern Dutchess Hospital is pleased to announce the honorees and co-chairs of this year’s Starlight Ball. Ken Giek and Alfred Frontera, MD will be honored and the co-chairs are Dr. James and Mary Wing as well as Donald and Kristine Sperry. The event is planned for June 18th and this year it will be held in the newly air-conditioned Horticulture Building at the Dutchess County Fairgrounds in Rhinebeck.
Ken Giek is a longtime friend of Northern Dutchess Hospital and Health Quest, serving as Chairman of the Northern Dutchess Hospital, Foundation and Health Quest Boards of Directors during his tenure from 1985 until 2008. He resides in Red Hook with his wife, Karen.
Dr. Frontera is a recently-retired neurologist from Kingston Neurological Associates in Kingston and New Paltz. His efforts to establish the Paul Rosenthal Rehabilitation Center at Northern Dutchess Hospital were instrumental in bringing this service to fruition. A member of the medical staff from 1976 to 2010, Dr. Frontera is enjoying retirement with his wife, Veronica.
This year, there will also be an exclusive “Pre-View Party” the night before the Starlight Ball. In conjunction with Crafts at Rhinebeck, the Dutchess County Fairgrounds has arranged for a silent auction to benefit the Hospital on Friday, June 17th from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Ticket price of $15 includes a VIP wine & cheese reception with the opportunity to bid on the special items from participating artists and have a “birds-eye” view of the Starlight Ball Room taking shape below. The $15 ticket also includes early access to the Craft Fair starting at 6:00 p.m. that evening, as well as a pass for the Craft Fair for the entire weekend.
