Pulmonary Rehab Care
The Northern Dutchess Hospital outpatient Physical Therapy Department provides Pulmonary Rehabilitation for patients with pulmonary disease and associated debility caused by chronic pulmonary conditions. Some of the more common diagnoses treated with Pulmonary Rehabilitation include COPD, asthma, cystic fibrosis, restrictive lung disease, bronchiectasis, pulmonary hypertension and post-op lung surgery patients.
Physical Therapists trained in Pulmonary Rehabilitation will evaluate the patient and design an individualized treatment plan. The treatment plan will include exercise, endurance training, education and energy conservation techniques to improve the patients' quality of life.
